Nursing Foundation Lab
The Nursing Foundation Lab is designed to help students develop essential nursing skills and professional confidence. The lab is equipped with hospital beds, mannequins, procedure trolleys, patient care articles, and demonstration models. Students learn procedures such as bed making, vital signs assessment, personal hygiene, and infection control techniques. It prepares learners for safe and effective nursing practice during clinical postings.
This lab ensures that learners develop competency, confidence, and patient-centered care skills while following ethical and safety standards. Demonstrations, return demonstrations, and supervised practice sessions help students integrate theoretical knowledge with practical nursing care. The lab plays a crucial role in shaping professional nursing behavior, communication, and critical thinking required for quality healthcare delivery.
The Obstetrics & Gynecology Lab
The Obstetrics & Gynecology Nursing Lab is a specialized clinical skill laboratory that provides a simulated environment to practice maternal and newborn care procedures. The lab contains advanced birthing simulators, pelvic and fetal skull models, newborn care mannequins, delivery instruments, resuscitation kits, and charts depicting reproductive anatomy and fetal development. Students are trained in antenatal assessment, identification of high-risk pregnancies, Leopold’s maneuvers, fetal heart rate monitoring, partograph recording, and counseling for maternal nutrition and wellbeing.
It also provides training in labor room procedures such as assisting normal childbirth, managing the third stage of labor, episiotomy care and suturing (simulation), newborn assessment, APGAR scoring, and breastfeeding techniques. The lab ensures students develop competency in compassionate maternity care while following infection control, emergency preparedness, and ethical guidelines. This lab plays a vital role in preparing nursing students for safe practice in labor rooms, antenatal clinics, postnatal wards, and community maternal health services.
Child health nursing lab
The Child Health Nursing Lab is a specialized skill development facility designed to help nursing students acquire essential competencies in caring for infants, children, and adolescents. The lab provides a safe, simulated clinical environment where learners practice assessment, nursing procedures, communication, and family-centered care before performing them in real hospital settings.
This laboratory is equipped with various manikins, models, and pediatric care equipment that enable students to gain hands-on experience in growth monitoring, immunization techniques, medication administration, newborn and pediatric assessment, and emergency care of children. The setup reflects pediatric wards, neonatal units, and outpatient child health clinics to strengthen practical learning.
Nutrition Laboratory
The Nutrition Laboratory is a well-equipped learning facility where nursing students gain practical knowledge and skills related to therapeutic nutrition, diet planning, food preparation, and nutritional assessment for individuals across the lifespan. The lab provides a safe environment to practice preparation of therapeutic diets for patients with different medical conditions, enabling students to apply theoretical concepts of nutrition in a real-life context.
The laboratory is organized like a dietary service area with separate sections for meal planning, food measurement, preparation, and evaluation. Students learn the role of nutrition in health promotion, disease prevention, and recovery, and are trained to provide dietary counseling for patients and communities.
Community Health Nursing Laboratory
The Community Health Nursing (CHN) Laboratory is a skill-based learning environment designed to prepare nursing students for delivering preventive, promotive, curative, and rehabilitative health services in community settings. The lab simulates a home and community setup, enabling students to learn practical skills required in home visits, family care, community assessment, health education, immunization, and primary health care services.
It reflects the working pattern of sub-centres, PHCs, and community clinics, supporting students in transitioning smoothly to field practice during rural and urban postings.
Pre-Clinical Science Lab
The Pre-Clinical Science Lab is a foundational learning facility designed to provide nursing students with essential knowledge and hands-on skills in basic medical sciences such as Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology. The lab creates a safe, controlled environment where students develop an understanding of the human body, learn scientific principles, and practice essential laboratory techniques before exposure to clinical settings.
This laboratory plays a crucial role in strengthening the scientific base required for clinical decision-making, nursing assessment, and therapeutic interventions
Library
The library is a store house of Knowledge stocking more than 3000 books of current medical and nursing titles and subscribed to more than 15 National and International journals and Free internet facilities.
Library is built with comfortable seating arrangements, proper lighting specialities and well ventilated. The teaching faculties and the students could easily access during college and extended hours.
Multi Purpose Hall
The Multi purpose hall has proper stage with green room Fecilities which can be utilised for conducting function of the college, conferences, workshops and examinations.It is well spacious and accommodate more than 600 seats.
Auditorium
The College has a well spacious ventilated auditorium which can accommodate more than 250 persons there are enough furniture and other equipment are available for curricular co-curricular extra-curricular activities
Playground
Physical activity is an integral part of life and it reflects on the campus design too students have access to facilities like indoor and outdoor activities college is having large playground with sports flooring which includes (volley ball court& tennis court)
Hostel
Our college provides a home away from home experience with securied hostel facilities for women ensuring a comfortable atmosphere, good nutrition, hygienic food and disciplined study time all managed by the hostel warden. The needs of the inmates including medical facilities, indoor and out door activities proper sanitary napkin disposal, Ro water and solar system facilities are carefully taken care.
Transport
The college has adequate transport facilities to help students to reach their respective clinical areas of practice, community programmes, and to participate in various field visits.
